How do we use the Portable Fire Pump correctly?
1. Prepare the engine
2. The primer
Check the amount of oil in the lube cup of the water diversion device.
3. Water pump and accessories
Install the hose, support the nozzle, and properly install the suction pipe and the water filter at the end. The bending point of the suction pipe shall not be higher than the water pump inlet. The rubber pad of the suction pipe interface must be installed and tightened to prevent air leakage. The suction pipe water filter should be less than 0.5 meters away from the water surface, and should not be close to the bottom of the pool (or river) to prevent the inhalation of dirt. Check whether the drain valve and outlet valve of the water pump are closed.
4. Start engine
According to the requirements of the engine user manual, operate the engine to start, the engine should be idle after starting.
5. Pump diversion water
After the engine starts idle, increase the engine speed to about 3600/ min, push the throttle switch to the high speed position, open the front switch of the water diversion device, press the control lever of the water diversion device, make the water diversion device rotate to the water outlet of the water diversion device at high speed to spray water, gradually open the water pump outlet valve, water pump outlet. Close the water pilot switch, release the water pilot lever, water pilot stops rotating, water diversion is over.
6. Water pump works
Under normal circumstances, the water outlet pressure of the pump should be controlled at 0.6MPa, and the engine speed should be around 3300 RPM, which can run for a long time. If the pump needs to stop the water supply, the engine speed can be reduced, idle, and then close the outlet valve. When the water supply is needed, the outlet valve can be opened again, and the engine speed can be increased.
